  • About this opportunity

    As a member of the Due Diligence and Project Monitoring team, you will carry out building surveying commissions and oversee the construction project's progress, identifying and addressing any issues that arise.

    Start date: Feb.-March 2025

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Delivering high quality services and ensuring that building surveying deliverables meet customer’s requirements.
    • Conducting building inspections to evaluate the property's overall condition, including surveys, dilapidation advice, and party wall advice. 
    • Identifying potential risks and liabilities associated with the property, including structural defects, compliance issues, and environmental concerns.
    • Reviewing relevant documentation such as building plans, maintenance records, and compliance certificates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Ensuring that the property complies with local building codes, regulations, and standards.
    • Preparing comprehensive due diligence reports.
    • Preparing and managing planned maintenance programmes.
    • Monitoring the quality of construction projects.
    • Overseeing and evaluating the progress of a project to ensure it aligns with the client's objectives and contractual obligations. 
    • Contracting administration to handover and post-completion reviews.
    • Planning service delivery in conjunction with the Director with overall responsibility for the project.
    • Communicating with and providing good sound professional advice to both clients and other project team members.
    • Collaborating with other specialists, such as environmental consultants or structural engineers, to provide a thorough assessment.
    • Ensuring that all quantitative and financial information has been independently checked before issue, including maintaining evidence of independent checks.
    • Remaining in the remit of your role and when additional responsibilities need to be carried out, conduct this in a fully informed manner with the approval of your line manager.

  • Who we’re looking for:

    Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

    • Some experience in construction sector (real estate / buildings). Experience in Technical Due Diligence is desirable.
    • Sound knowledge of construction methods and materials.
    • Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changes.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • High level of Italian and English; ability to maintain fluent and professional communication with national and international clients.
    • Availability to work in Milan and travel within Italy.  

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Architecture or Building Engineering
