    About The Role 

    The Assistant Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction activities on site, ensuring project delivery is achieved on schedule, in full compliance with approved specifications, and in line with established quality and safety standards. 

    The role involves close coordination and follow-up with the Contractor, Design Consultants, Project Management team, and other stakeholders to monitor site progress, resolve technical and coordination issues, and support the successful delivery of construction works. 

    Key Responsibilities   

      • Assist the Construction Manager in monitoring and coordinating construction activities across assigned projects.  
      • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents to support compliance with project requirements.  
      • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.  
      • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates, identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans.  
      • Ensure all works are carried out in line with quality standards and project requirements.  
      • Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site.   
      • Assist in procurement processes, including reviewing technical submissions and material approvals.
      • Support in managing variations, claims, and site-related contractual matters.
      • Support in preparing and submit regular progress reports to senior management.
      • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of site activities.
  • Qualifications & Experience 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • 5–7 years of experience in construction, with proven site management experience.
    •  Experience in large-scale construction projects (industrial,and/or commercial). 
    •  Solid knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations.
    •  Basic understanding of contract administration and project management principles is an advantage. 
    •  Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and project handover processes.

      • Strong coordination and communication skills.  
      • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.  
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.  
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.  
      • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.  
      • Proficiency in relevant engineering, project management, and reporting tools.
