The Role
Ready to gain real-world project management experience? From your first day, you'll become part of a project team, supporting Project and Programme Managers to deliver successful projects for our clients. You'll develop an understanding of how projects are planned, managed and delivered, while working alongside a range of construction professionals.
What does a Project Manager do?
Project managers oversee the construction process from planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You'll gain exposure to areas including:
- Project planning – helping to establish project objectives, programmes and milestones
- Team coordination – working alongside architects, engineers, contractors and clients
- Cost and budget management – supporting project controls and monitoring progress
- Programme management – helping keep projects on schedule and identifying potential risks
- Quality and compliance – understanding construction standards, governance and regulations
- Client communication – assisting with meetings, reports and project updates
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Supporting Project and Programme Managers with the successful delivery of projects
- Assisting with project administration and maintaining project documentation
- Preparing reports, presentations and meeting minutes
- Supporting contract administration activities where appropriate
- Helping monitor project progress, risks and key deliverables
- Assisting with financial and quantitative record keeping and checking project information
- Contributing to client meetings and project reviews
- Supporting business development activities and bid preparation where opportunities arise
