Assistant Cost Manager - Civil

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Study architectural and structural drawings.
• Analyse contract documents, technical specifications, and design details.
• Identify discrepancies, conflicts, or missing details in the design.
• Understand the relevant packages based on WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)
• Use IS 1200 standards (Indian Standard Method of Measurement) for consistent measurement. Adjust for regional material price variations.
• Verify that the drawing layers, scales, and dimensions are appropriately defined.
• Understand the scope of work by reviewing floor plans, sections, and elevations.
• Identify the elements to be measured, such as walls, slabs, columns, and beams.
• Turn on/off relevant layers to isolate specific components for measurement. Can perform basic measurements (lengths, areas, and volumes).
• Uses object snaps, polylines, and dimensions to extract quantities.
• Prepare a detailed BOQ with itemized quantities and costs.
• Provide input for periodic cost reports. 

  
  

• Qualifications:

• Education – B.E Civil Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of work experience
• Good command over MS Office/ AutoCAD programs/ Cost X
• Good communication skill written and verbal
