  • About The Role

    We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our dynamic construction team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts for large-scale residential and urban development projects.

    The Senior Planning Engineer will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of major construction projects. The role involves full management of interconnected detailed project schedules, ensuring all work is planned and executed efficiently and on time. The Senior Planning Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, design manager, construction manager and other site personnel to coordinate all aspects of project delivery distributed through multi parallel packages, from inception to completion.

    Work location: Site Based at Sheikh Zayed, Giza

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Manage comprehensive project schedules using recognized planning software (i.e. Primavera P6).
    • Review and approve Contractors’ detailed schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project plans.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion of milestones.
    • Lead planning activities ensuring all statutory and contractual requirements are met.
    • Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure proper integration of all project activities within the schedule.
    • Prepare regular project reports, including forecasts, progress updates, and resource analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
    • Analyse delays and review extension of time claims in cooperation with contract administrator(s) and project manager.
    • Mentor and support junior planning engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (essential).
    • Minimum 12 years’ experience in planning and scheduling within the construction industry, with a proven track record on residential and urban development projects.
    • Expert user of planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
    • Solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and best practices in residential and urban development.
    • Demonstrable experience in preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee project risks and propose effective solutions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in delay analysis, claims preparation / review, and contract administration is highly desirable.
