    About this opportunity

    We are looking for ambitious and detail-oriented fresh graduates to join our team in a pivotal role that sits at the heart of our business development efforts. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of functions, including proposal writing, strategic planning, client engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. As part of the business development team, you will play a critical role in shaping how we present our expertise and value to clients, while building a solid foundation in both technical and commercial aspects of the consultancy sector. This is a structured, fast-paced environment where your communication skills, analytical mindset, and creativity will be actively developed and put to use from day one.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the preparation of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and technical and commercial proposals.
    • Analyse and deconstruct Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other client documents to ensure a clear understanding of project scope, objectives, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
    • Coordinate and compile designated sections of bid content efficiently and within submission deadlines.
    • Present proposal requirements and insights to technical leads to ensure clarity, responsibilities, and a unified approach throughout the proposal process.
    • Edit and review technical input to ensure responses meet high-quality standards, accurately address client requirements, and adhere to submission guidelines.
    • Contribute to the development of compelling, creative, and client-focused bid narratives and presentation materials.
    • Ensure all submissions are properly formatted, visually appealing, and compliant with company branding standards.
    • Create clear, structured answer templates to guide technical authors in developing their responses.
    • Assist bid managers during storyboarding workshops to shape proposal strategy and content flow.
    • Identify and suggest improvements to optimize bid processes and team efficiency.
    • Monitor tender portals and alerts to support the proactive identification of business opportunities.
    • Contribute to post-submission evaluations, including debriefs and lessons-learned reviews.
    • Support internal reporting, including bid progress trackers, aftercare activities, and performance metrics.
    • Maintain and update the bid store/library with updated collateral, templates, and reference materials.
    • Assist in the implementation and rollout of new proposal tools, templates, and pitch systems.
    • Assist with CRM data entry and reporting related to bids and client engagement activities.
    • Support in championing the role of the bid team for ad-hoc queries and help promote the bid team’s role across the business.
    • Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure that all new opportunities are promptly channelled through the bid team from the outset.
  • About You

  • Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
    • 0-2 years of relevant experience, ideally in bid / proposal production or within the consulting, construction, real estate or property sectors.
    • Strong communication skills across verbal, written, and visual formats.
    • Excellent command of both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is essential.
    • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
    • Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset and positive attitude.
    • Ability to demonstrate creative thinking and develop innovative ideas.
    • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), familiarity with Adobe InDesign and/or Canva is a strong advantage.
     

    Experience You Will Gain as an Assistant Proposals Specialist

    • Develop a strong foundation in commercial strategy, bid management, and client communication within the construction and consultancy industry
    • Support the coordination and preparation of EOIs, PQQs, and technical/commercial proposals across various project sectors
    • Learn to organize and assist in bid planning sessions and kick-off meetings involving multi-disciplinary teams
    • Build familiarity with procurement frameworks, submission requirements, and bidding terminology
    • Strengthen your ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Gain exposure to internal collaboration tools, document control systems, and proposal quality standards
