Cost Analyst

About this opportunity

• Fulfill standard cost management activities including budget development, cost tracking, change order management, reporting and metrics, schedule integration, estimate development, and cashflow forecasting
• Support financial close activities including forecast updates, variance analysis, and accruals/journal entries based on stakeholder input
• Ensuring that input from the Project Managers and Construction Operations stakeholders are captured within the forecast
• Quantify variances and perform information reviews and analysis
• Support project commissioning and closeout
• Creation / utilization of Work Breakdown Structures.
• Ability to understand and work in accordance with existing project control procedures.
• Development of detailed cost reporting.
• Estimate development and incorporation into cost forecasts.
• Cost baseline process and master planning
• Invoice review and accounting validation
• Accrual calculations
• Support internal Audits

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

• 2 years of relevant experience for the mid-level position and 10 years’ experience for the Senior level position
  
• Data analytics and/or PMIS implementation experience would be beneficial
• PMI and/or AACE certification(s)
• Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
• Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
• Good organization, problem solving and negotiating skills.
• Financial and numeracy management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Be able to work as part of a team.
  

•  Finance or Engineering degree is preferred
