Gleeds 2024 Apprentice intake - Quantity Surveyor / Cost Management

About this opportunity

You will provide support to the Quantity Surveyors/Cost Manager in managing the cost allocation and budgets of construction projects. Responsibilities will range from early cost advice to settlement of the final account. These projects could include new builds, renovations, maintenance work and other client requirements.

What does the Gleeds Apprenticeship Programme offer you? 

Our Apprenticeship Programme will provide you with the opportunity to study and obtain a Chartered Surveyor Degree level 6 Apprenticeship, whilst gaining direct experience. This includes on the job learning, mentorship, professional reviews, a dedicated development team and all the tools and support needed to be successful in your career!

You will follow the Level 6 Chartered Surveyor Apprenticeship Standard. This apprenticeship runs over five years and includes studying for a BSc in Quantity Surveying,

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will work towards qualifying as a Chartered Member (MRICS) of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). 

About You

What you will need

  • GCSEs, grades A*-C including Maths and English at (grade 4) and above or equivalent.
  • 120 (UCAS) points from 2 or 3 A levels, or equivalent.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changes.
  • Good ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
