Gleeds Data Centres is recruiting ambitious and innovative Quantity Surveyors to join one of the fastest growing sectors reshaping the construction industry.
In this role, you’ll work on high profile projects that directly impact the future of data infrastructure. You’ll gain exposure to diverse working environments and broaden your professional network through opportunities for global travel and collaboration.
Your day to day will be varied depending on the project you are working on; this will keep you challenged and engaged in the work we deliver however some key responsibilities that will always remain constant are:
- Management of contracts from inception (pre-contract support e.g., tender evaluation) to completion (post-contract support)
- Operating with NEC form of Contract such as Option A, B, C and E as well as bespoke forms of contract
- Leading client engagement to ensure delivery to specification and budget, while identifying contract improvements
- Stakeholder Engagement across a portfolio of projects
- Issuing and reviewing early warning notices
- Pricing and assessing compensation events
- Develop and maintain cost accrual and forecast reports
- Report to senior managers on cost data, progress, and assumptions with clarity and impact
- Managing contractor and subcontractor accounts
- Updating risk registers and reviewing programmes
- Issuing payment certificates and valuation assessments
- Mentoring junior team members
