The role
Ready to shape the future of Procurement and Supply Chain? At Gleeds, you can expect a varied workload and to play a significant role in the delivery of major infrastructure programmes. As an apprentice procurement professional, you’ll have unlimited access to our experts, all with years of experience across the industry. They’ll guide you as you gain hands-on experience in strategy development, managing procurement processes, supplier relationship management and contract management in both private and public sector organisations.
Your role will encompass (but is not limited to) the following:
Our procurement professionals support some of the biggest projects and programmes and major blue-chip clients in the UK, through the full lifecycle of the procurement process.
- Supporting procurement managers in providing accurate and timely outputs.
- Supporting the development and implementation of commercial incentivisation models.
- Working with clients to understand their scope requirements.
- Assisting with strategy development, optioneering, and business case processes.
- Market analysis and engagement,
- Drafting procurement documentation and working with stakeholders to ensure all tender submission requirements are collated, ready to be issued to the market.
- Managing procurement processes, including clarifications, evaluation, and preparing outcomes reports.
- Supporting contract mobilisation and administration, including payments and client reporting.
You will:
- Contribute to high-quality service delivery across projects.
- Develop project and commercial management skills.
- Gain an understanding of different suites of contracts and contract options.
- Gain an understanding of the legislative framework and best practice.
