Construction Project Manager

Gleeds is an independent global Construction consultancy, specializing in Program and Project Management, Project Controls and Strategic Advisory. We are currently looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to support on our exciting client project in Mount Vernon, Illinois.

Role and Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):

• Represent Owner’s interest throughout project(s) and manage project risks and minimize exposure.
• Establishing project objectives, strategy, and scopes.
• Assist in qualification and selection of contractors.
• Managing communications with project stakeholders.
• Meet with program team members on a regular basis to review progress and costs.
• Estimate development and refinement.
• Through understanding of cost management practices and Cost variance reporting
• Managing multiyear projects to annualized budgets.
• Experience of schedule development, progress, and delivery milestones.
• Tracking project resource availability.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Review and approval of change orders.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.

• The ideal candidate should have at least 5+ years of Project Management experience over construction projects.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are a must for this role.
• PMP Certification would be a plus.
• Strong team management and leadership skills
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Project management skills such as time management, project budgeting, resource management and project scheduling

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or related field.
