About The Role

About this opportunity

The successful candidate will support all aspects of cost management activity across Gleeds´ business in Ukraine, reporting to Senior Cost Managers or Project Managers and General Director.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting Cost Manager / Senior Cost Manager in all related tasks:
  • Measurement and estimating quantities generally.
  • Preparation of budgets for construction projects at different stages of design and construction.
  • Assisting in the preparation and management associated with conducting tenders aimed at selecting consultants, contractors, suppliers of materials and equipment.
  • Analysis of construction contracts.
  • Support in conducting negotiations regarding financial and contractual conditions with bidders. Preparation of recommendations for the client.
  • Assessment of executed construction works on site and making payment recommendations. 
  • Undertaking cost optimisation exercises and collaboration with designers on optimisation of design solutions.
  • Checking of estimates prepared in AVK etc.
  • Preparation of reports for the clients. 
  • Monitoring Ukrainian market trends and costs.

About You

Who we’re looking for:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Previous cost management experience; both local and international, not just AVK proficient.
  • Proficient in using various software and tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach.
  • A creative thinker.
  • Absolute attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within QMS and ISMS requirements.
  • Fluency in English and Ukrainian languages.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in cost management, engineering, architecture or related field.
