About The Role

Location: Remote - USA

The Cost Manager will be responsible for the complete execution of the Construction Scope of Work as contracted by Data Center client.  The project controls manage will support the campus manager with financial record keeping and reporting those financial records to the client on a monthly basis.   

About You

Candidates are required to have experience in the following areas;
  • Maintaining change order log, value engineering log and contingency usage log in parallel to the general contractor
  • Maintain and track GMP construction values as reported by the general contractor and verified by the campus manager
  • Produce and publish monthly cost reports for all assigned projects
  • Attend all client and contractor meetings; maintain communications with client, contractor and Gleeds home office staff.

Desired Skills & Experience


  • BA/BS in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related Engineering Field or equivalent industry experience.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with Cost Management supporting energy projects.  Experience with A/E, EPC, or Consulting preferred.
  • Verifiable training and experience in construction management of data center projects (Project sizes should be between 5 megawatt and 50 megawatt or greater in IT capacity)
  • Client-side experience acting as the client’s advocate and adviser as it relates to contractor and construction issues.
  • Experience managing line-item GMP contracts in fast paced projects with multiple subcontractors.
  • Experience with subcontractor buyout procedures.
  • Experience in general contracting tendering and subcontractor procurement.
  • Experience in monthly reporting to the client.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. 
  • Great Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thoroughly understands and utilizes Information Technology in the performance of their work including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
