You will be fully supported on your path to becoming fully-accredited – we cover the costs, help with the paperwork, and make sure it is as easy as possible for you to achieve your goals.
As a Graduate you will:
- Assist Building Surveyors in the delivery of building surveying services, including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects for new builds, renovations and maintenance works – from feasibility through to design, contract administration to handover and post completion reviews.
- Assisting Building Surveyors with the preparation of:
- Feasibility studies
- Cost plans
- Submissions for planning and building regulation approvals
- Tender documentation and managing the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
- Assisting building surveyors with:
- Evaluating and reporting on tenders
- Administration of construction contracts
- Undertaking surveys including condition surveys, DDA, Fire Risk Assessments, Schedules of Condition and Acquisition Surveys.
- Preparing reports for customers
- Undertaking party wall surveyor duties
- Providing dilapidations advice and delivering dilapidations assessments and negotiating with other parties
- Undertaking quality monitoring roles of major construction projects.
- Successfully complete the Gleeds internal APC preparation programme; and self-development training in readiness for attaining Chartered status (RICS)
- Ensuring that all quantitative and financial information has been independently checked before issue, including maintaining evidence of independent checks.
