Our team in Warrington is expanding and we are looking for an experienced quantity surveyor with a specialist background in providing commercial and contractual advice expertise. This would be Executive/Principal Quantity Surveyor level in our business so there would be an expectation for you to be client facing, capable of building relationships quickly as well as leading and motivating teams.
In this role you will play a key part in delivering and monitoring Nuclear Decommissioning programmes which are the most technical and complex challenges facing the UK today, helping us leave a safer environment for future generations.
Your day to day could sometimes involve:
- Drafting Services Commencement Notices and Employer’s Contract Instructions,
- Reviewing Early Warning Matter notifications and attending early warning meetings in an advisory capacity,
- Assessing entitlement to, and the cost impact of, Adjustment Events,
- Providing advice on the Lot Partner contracts to stakeholders,
- Reviewing and providing feedback on procurement strategies and contract documents for significant packages of work, reviewing and providing feedback on justifications for single sourcing packages of work and/or services, making recommendations to the Employer’s Representative regarding significant contracts and single sourcing works and services, providing monthly reporting information.
- Utilising a bespoke framework agreement and amended versions of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract and the Professional Service Contract
