We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic Senior Data Analyst to join our Project Controls team to support our continuing growth. Our team is dynamic, innovative and client-focused, supported by an inclusive and fun company culture.

In this role you will play a key part in the UK’s Nuclear Independence by being involved with technically complex Nuclear New Build projects.

Your day to day could sometimes involve:

  • Working as part of the team to identify innovative solutions to traditional challenges in the industry and client environment
  • Manage team to implement the solution in the client environment
  • Support senior management in developing our Gleeds capabilities and offerings
  • Apply modern tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation (including the use of business information tools)
  • Identify, collect and migrate data to and from a range of systems
  • Manage, clean, abstract and aggregate data alongside a range of analytical studies on that data
  • Manipulate and link different data sets
  • Summarise and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format for users

However no two days are the same, we are a flexible team that support each other’s projects as well as getting in involved with wider business activities and we believe that variety is key to your development. 

About You

Who we’re looking for in our next Senior Data Analyst

  • Experience and/or knowledge of the project and cost controls within the construction industry
  • Strong analytic and numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations
  • Experience of data, analytics and reporting projects
  • Capability in the use of Excel with ability to write macros to create automated dashboards, graphs and tables
  • Experience/knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, SQL
  • Experience/knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView and Excel
  • Ability to develop and present clear and insightful reports to stakeholders
  • Ability to learn new technologies and products quickly
  • Comfortable in extracting, integrating and querying large datasets from multiple sources
  • Certifications or accreditations with Microsoft Applications
  • Ideally be HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar / relevant discipline, or in some case applicants with an alternative background (e.g.: Engineering) may be considered.
