Gleeds Energy is recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join our team on a permanent basis in our Warrington office.
Our Commercial Managers lead on projects with a range of clients across complex and challenging sectors such as Nuclear, Defence and Renewables, allowing our team members to gain a well-rounded experience at a much quicker pace. In this role you will take a lead role in our team to meet client expectations, develop a cohesive working environment and create development plans for junior team members. As well as team development responsibilities, you will work with Senior Management to formulate and deliver our services to clients both pre and post contract
Your day-to-day could sometimes involve:
- Management of contracts from inception (pre-contract support e.g., tender evaluation) to completion (post-contract support)
- Operating with NEC form of Contract such as Option A, B, C and E as well as bespoke forms of contract
- Taking a lead role with clients to ensure work is done to specification and to cost as well as seeking out contract improvements
- Stakeholder Engagement across a portfolio of projects
- Issuing /reviewing early warning notices
- Priced and Assessed Compensation Events
- Monthly Commercial Reporting
- Management of Contractors and Subcontractors accounts
- Updating Risk Registers
- Reviewing programmes
- Issuing payment certs and valuation assessment of the works
- Lead and mentor junior members of the team
