Health & Safety Advisor / Principal Designer

Who we’re looking for:

The role will be permanently based within our corporate offices with occasional site / client visits as appropriate. The successful candidate must be someone who can work independently, or as part of a large multi-disciplined team. The role can include working on high profile singular projects, or multiple smaller rollout frameworks.

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

• Sound construction related health and safety management experience post Tech IOSH qualification;
• Experience of delivering services on a live construction site;
• Cohesive knowledge of construction methods and materials;
• Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience of construction related health and safety management;
• Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation relating to construction;
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written;
• Methodical way of thinking and approach to work;
• Good problem solving, negotiating skills, financial and numeracy management skills;
• Ability to prepare first class bids for services;
• Competent ICT skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Ability to work as part of a team and lead teams.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction and General Certificates/Tech IOSH minimum (will be considered with right amount of experience and other qualifications)
• NEBOSH Diploma/CMIOSH preferred.
• Design background / experience preferred
• APS Principal Designer qualification preferred
